A super-premium boutique pet food company needed to rapidly screen ingredients and formulas to develop tangible prototypes that would enable leadership to make an informed, strategic product decisions for their next generation offerings.

Evaluated and screened a curated set of premium ingredients against quality, functionality and brand-fit criteria.

Formula Development & Experimental Design
Performed deep dive into manufacturing process and capabilities contained in the client’s manufacturing network. Developed DOE to massively accelerate the design and iterative process determining interactions of multiple ingredients, systematically narrowing the field to the strongest candidates, ensuring fit with process capabilities.

Prototype Production & Iteration
Executed hands-on prototype work including grinding, sous vide cooking and forming patties and bites in frozen formats, producing tangible samples for evaluation.

Delivered final prototypes with supporting data, processing and formula detail equipping executive leadership with the clarity needed to make confident product decisions.
